Count the Birds at KTP
*ANNUAL EVENT*
Feb 16 (Sat), 9:00-10:00 am, KTP - Gather at the shelter for bird walks as we identify birds by species and record the number of each that we see, then enjoy refreshments as we tally our results. Part of the national Great Backyard Bird Count. FREE

Spring Daze Arts & Crafts Festival
*ANNUAL EVENT* *VOLUNTEERS NEEDED*
Apr 27 (Sat), All Day, Bond Park - Here we work to fulfill both aspects of our mission - fundraising though our concession stand with our partner, La Farm Bakery, and promoting KTP in our activity booth in the Children's Village. Can't volunteer this year? Show your support by buying yummy goodies at our concession stand, then bring the kids to our activity booth for hands-on arts & crafts.

June
Birthday Party for Kids Together Playground
*ANNUAL EVENT* *VOLUNTEERS NEEDED*
Jun 2 (Sun), 3:00-5:00 pm, KTP - It's an old-fashioned birthday party to celebrate the anniversary of the opening of Kids Together Playground. Gather at the picnic shelter to craft noisemakers, then march with KATAL the KT Dragon in a kids' parade! Stop along the way to hear the Kids Together Playground story, told in the style of Dr. Seuss. Help make Roly Poly fruit slushies and share this sweet treat and other refreshments with family and friends. Always the First Sunday in June. FREE

Independence Day Celebration in Cary

Jul 4 (Thurs), 3:00-9:00 pm, KTP - Kids Together adds to the fun by offering Fireworks Viewing Glasses for sale to concertgoers. What are Fireworks Glasses? Stop by our table on the 4th and see for yourself! FREE

Lazy Daze Arts & Crafts Festival

Aug 24 (Sat), All Day, Downtown Cary - With this annual fundraiser, we offer fabulous goodies to hungry festival goers who visit our concession stand. Sure, the August weather is hot, but the work is easy, the shifts are only two hours each and you're in great company!

Kids Together Walk For Inclusiveness
*ANNUAL EVENT*
September 21 (Sat), 9:30 registration, walk 10:00, activities till noon, KTP - At Kids Together, we are all about inclusiveness, and we bet you are, too! Join us in the true spirit of Kids Together as we celebrate everyone's right to have fun and be involved. Modeled after grown-up racing events, the KT Walk For Inclusiveness spans the 1.4 mile (round-trip) segment of the Hinshaw greenway, starting at KTP and connecting with MacDonald Woods Park via the pedestrian bridge over US1 & 64. Awards, refreshments, games and a great silent auction await participants when they end the course, returning to Kids Together Playground. Wheelchairs and strollers are welcome, of course! Decorate your wheels or wear a funny hat and you might just win a prize! $15 per family; $5 per individual. Bring your friends! Presented by Kids Together and the Town of Cary.

Fall Foliage Stroll
Oct 19 (Sat), 11:00 am - noon, KTP - Explore the treasures of plant life at KTP! Our friends Susan and Mack Little from Little & Little Landscape Architects lead us on a guided tour of the trees, shrubs and flowers that adorn our park, followed by a fun art activity using plant materials collected during the tour. Refreshments included. FREE

Cut-off Date for Engraved Brick Orders

Gift Wrapping at Barnes & Noble, Cary

Date T/B/A, All Day, Barnes & Noble Cary - Barnes & Noble supplies the customers and the opportunity to earn donations - we supply the hands! As we wrap, there's a great opportunity to spread the word about Kids Together. A great volunteer activity for teens.
